CHALLENGE
When the City of Cleveland secured a Department of Justice (DOJ) grant for the Community Based Violence Intervention and Prevention (CVI) initiative, Wayne Henry Design was hire by Rhonda Crowder & Associates LLC to transform high-level policy into a resonant community brand: Cleveland Thrive.
SOLUTION:
Using a public health-centered strategy, we bridged the gap between municipal government and neighborhoods by designing a "Cleveland-authentic" visual identity logo and a digital-themed persona powered an ecosystem featuring residents across social media. We developed a high-impact website and merchandise to drive engagement, transforming digital sentiments into proactive solutions. These efforts culminated in the comprehensive 100-page "Report for the Record."

CHALLENGE:
As NABJ celebrates its 50th Anniversary in Cleveland, the host chapter, GCLEABJ, faced a critical branding deficit. Lacking a cohesive identity and digital presence, the organization risked invisibility during this national milestone unless they effectively secured a media market position, Execute a strategic digital transformation, evolving from a quiet affiliate into a prominent, unified authority ready for the national spotlight.
STRATEGY:
To elevate GCLEABJ for the NABJ 50th convention, Wayne Henry Design collaborated with the GCLEABJ President to transform the local chapter into a national authority. By establishing a visual identity and real-time social media strategy that engaged 3,900+ professionals, while targeted automation drove sold-out success for premier events—including a historic 2025 Black Journalists Hall of Fame, Pre-Reception Party, and a "Welcome to Cleveland" Rock & Roll Hall of Fame reception. These fully sponsored milestones were a success and solidified GCLEABJ’s position as a media leader.
