When the City of Cleveland secured a Department of Justice (DOJ) grant for the Community Based Violence Intervention and Prevention (CVI) initiative, Wayne Henry Design was commissioned to transform high-level policy into a resonant community brand: Cleveland Thrive.
The Strategy We engineered a comprehensive creative strategy rooted in a public health
approach to violence prevention. Our goal was to bridge the gap between municipal government and local neighborhoods, creating a safe, professional, and inviting
space for residents to voice concerns and collaborate on remedies. The Deliverables
We managed the end-to-end production of a multi-channel communication
ecosystem, including: Visual Identity: Development of the “Cleveland Thrive” brand
marks and style guidelines. Strategic Assets: A definitive 100-page “Report for
the Record” documenting community insights and program vision. Digital & Social
Presence: A custom-built website and targeted social media awareness campaigns.
Community Collateral: High-impact flyers and custom merchandise designed to foster neighborhood pride and sustain long-term engagement.









Wayne Henry Design was tapped to lead the comprehensive creative strategy for the host chapter (GCLEABJ) Greater Cleveland Association of Black Journalists 2025 for the NABJ Convention at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland. Tasked with engaging over 3,900 media professionals, we delivered an end-to-end brand experience—from high-stakes sponsorship packaging and marketing automation to the "Welcome to Cleveland" video and custom merchandise. We didn’t just create assets; we built conversion engines. By designing integrated social campaigns and strategic sales funnels, we helped generate national awareness while driving ticket sales for four premier events, including Golf Outing, Pre-Convention Reception and an exclusive takeover of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
